For example, during the '06-'07 NFL playoff match-up between the Chargers and Patriots the NFL lines fell between 2-3 in favor of the well-equipped Chargers. Our results favored New England by 3 points, so with a difference of 5-6 points we placed a 1 unit bet. Will we be betting on every game? If not, how many bets will be placed?

We do not usually see weeks in which the lines on all NFL games are weak enough to be beaten. As for how many bets are placed you can expect to place bets on 5-10 games per week, but that varies as the season progresses. As we get more valid statistical information our NFL lines get stronger, therefore we are able to find more winnable games. In fact, we do not start betting until Week 4 of the season, and we do not suggest you do any different.
